A Note from David Irvine, SVP of EHS: Supporting Our Customers Through COVID-19

As the Senior Vice President of the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) solutions business at SAI Global, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and send my sincerest best wishes to you, your families and colleagues at this time of uncertainty. I am hoping you are all safe and well and that you remain that way.

SAI Global is committed to providing continuity of software, services and support to our customers during this global pandemic while also taking all the necessary measures to protect the safety and well-being of our people. We have a geographically dispersed workforce that utilizes a cloud-based architecture model and a distributed data center approach, which is designed to operate without any service disruptions. For more information on how we’ve prepared our workforce for COVID-19, please see this letter from our CEO Peter Granat.

We understand this is an anxious time for business leaders like yourself who are grappling with how to maintain business continuity in the face of unprecedented disruption and fear. We are constantly thinking about how we can help our customers deal with this uncertainty and keep your businesses operational, taking account of the restrictions and impacts you are dealing with, and how you could use our EHS product in different ways.

Our team is here to assist with the best way to leverage your investment in our SAI360 software solution to take the burden of managing information required to monitor the health and safety of your workforce.

  • The vast majority of our customers are using the Incident Management module to manage injuries and illnesses, which can also be used to record suspected and actual COVID-19 cases, as evidenced by some of our customers already.
  • Roam, our mobile application, can be deployed quickly to enable everyone to complete working from home checklists, and as an easy way to report any cases of ill health, anytime and anywhere.
  • Using the SMS style notifications on Roam, you can send alerts of known cases or any information to keep your remote and mobile workers informed and safe.

While our team is working remotely as part of our response to COVID-19, we are here to help you get the most out of your investment in our software and to provide ongoing customer support, so please reach out to your Account Manager as you work through your own organization’s response to this crisis.

We also continue to provide best practice guidance via our Coronavirus & Business Continuity Pandemic Information Center, including this latest blog from David Smith, our EHS Commercial Director, “The COVID-19 Anxiety Cycle: A Mental Health Perspective”.

Stay safe, healthy and as always thank you for your business.

David Irvine
