Why Millennium Physician Group Chose SAI360

We recently interviewed Tina Tolliver, Chief Compliance, Ethics & Risk Office at Millennium Physician Group, about her experience with SAI360. Millennium Physician Group is one of the largest comprehensive physician groups in the U.S., serving over 750 healthcare providers across 300 locations.

Tina shares some reasons why they chose to work with SAI360.

Tina Tolliver1. Confidently handle the complexity of compliance

As an Accountable Care Organization (ACO) under the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS), Millennium works with CMS guidelines to manage accreditations and practitioner associations. Doing so involves navigating complexity.

Tina explained: “We work to meet a variety of specific procedures, laws, and regulations because of the breadth of our business,” explains Tina. “As an ACO, we work with CMS guidelines, while our surgery centers are AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care) accredited, our home care practices are CHAP (Community Health Accreditation Program) accredited, and our medical practitioners are associated with the AMA (American Medical Association). Each area has different mandatory rules and policies to reflect the standards we want in place, so it’s vital to have the visibility, workflows, analytics, and processes to meet those requirements. 2. A single platform with defined workflows

Tina said: “We implemented several SAI360 modules to create and transform processes spanning policy management, incident management, conflict of interest, claims audit management, and third-party risk management.”

“As well as the benefit of individual modules, there’s a benefit to a single platform such as SAI360,” said Tina. “It drives operational efficiency and delivers consistency across documents, usability, reporting, and processes.”

“Across each SAI360 module and the SAi360 platform, there’s peace of mind knowing workflows and processes are in place. For example, our incidents are closed out within 30 days,” Tina said. “That’s our policy, built into our SAI360 Incident Management workflows.”

3. Detailed reports

“When it comes to output and reporting, I believe more is more,” said Tina. “We are a shining star for reporting because we have the data. We can show our leadership and board all the dynamic information, process metrics, and data to demonstrate our role in creating mechanisms for policies, incidents, contracts, and other aspects of Compliance & Ethics. This level of detail shows the breadth and impact of what we do and shows our alignment to organizational goals.”
